2009 aftermath for identity theft victims

Identity Theft Resource Center (ITRC) has produced their “Identity Theft: The Aftermath 2009,” for the seventh year. For the first time they are encouraged with findings like less victim time to repair damage, shift in children ID theft from family as the perpetrator to unknown parties, and there were fewer overall negative consequences. But don’t be fooled. This type of fraud is still rampant and expected to continue to increase in 2010, as predicted by Robert Siciliano using ITRC data.
